It would be a violation of Federal law.

A felon cannot buy, receive, possess, sell, or transport any firearm or ammunition. Such a person has NO right to even hold ANY type of firearm under Title 18 U.S.C. §(s) 922.

I went to a Bruce Springsteen concert while I was in Japan many years ago. I will never forget the moment The Boss stepped out on stage and hearing 15,000 Japanese girls screaming "Bluce, Bluce, Bluce!". I like to share that with people named Bruce.
