My boyfriend has lived with me one year. Last weekend he became drunk and very emotionally abusive and I was afraid he'd hit me. I asked him to move out, but he said he had the right to stay, since he pays me 200.00 a month. I could have called the police, but was afraid to. He wouldn't give me my house key, and said he would come and get his stuff when I was gone. I'm afraid he would steal from me. I called the police and they said I would have to ask an attorney what his rights are. The police could ask him to leave if I felt threatened, but what are his rights to get his personal items without me home??
