What is the name of your state? Florida

If a police receives an anonomous call saying an illegal drug is being sold at a residence, can he send the whole task force to the address to do a knock and talk without doing any kind of investigation? The police have no information on the anonomous source.

A "knock and talk" is perfectly legal. It's based on consent. The person who lives at the house is under no obligation to let them in or even talk to them.

However, if the person is arrested or the house is searched and drugs are found, then they can always try to argue that they were coerced by the presence of "the whole task force".

Though, I would be amazed that they gathered a team of 8+ guys to do a knock and talk based on anonymous call. Either the "team" was a couple or four guys, or there was much more than a single call.
