What is the name of your state?OK

If a civilian gives your boss false information at a civilian job that ends up puting you into a compromising position, you can take that person to court on charges of slander right?

So what happens when someone tells your commander in the army false information that gets you in trouble unjustly. Can you take that person to court for slander as well or does a regulation prevent you from doing so?

No, that is not right.
And it depends entirely on the information and any damages you can prove.

See above.
