What is the name of your state? CA

What is the maximum amount a Landlord in So-Cal can legally charge a
tenant for a pet deposit?
Would it be a total for move in or a pet by pet based amount?
I have two small older dogs.
Just rented a small house and will sign the lease soon.

Thanks
J

Pet deposits are not regulated by states because state laws regarding rentals are designed for humans . Industry standards vary alot as to what a LL will charge for pet deposits .

Thank you FarmerJ

Any numbers you can throw out?
Some highs and lows in your opinion would be a big help.
Would $250 to $500 per pet sound close or could it go as high
as a $1000 or more each?

I'm paying $1350 for a security deposit.

Thank you again for your time

J.
