What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? California. I'm 58 yrs. old and disabled for Social Security purposes since 1992. I have over 40 credits. I did not meet the 40-20 rule so was awarded medicare only. My wife is turning 62 in April and I'm interested if she is qualified for benefits based on my disability. She has no work credits herself. Can she receive benefits or must I be receiving monthly monitary benefits. Thank you for any advise.
