What is the name of your state? Tx
I've got to have a background and fingerprint check with the FBI in order to take the RN exam next year. Here's my problem. I did not report a 1991 dwi to the LPN boards when it happened. Now that I've decided to get my RN degree, I've got to come clean. (it's required by the boards if you have ever plead guilty to a crime other than a traffic ticket) I know that this dwi will come up on my records, because I've had background checks done before for employment. I also was arrested in 1994 for another dwi but the case was dismissed. It has not shown up on the USIS or other background checks. Will this 1994 case be listed on my FBI criminal file or any other DPS files? I've sobered up since then thank GOD. I'm really afraid that my Lpn license will be revoked and I'll never get my RN.

You say you've decided to "come clean," and yet you're hoping it's not going to appear on future backround checks. Make up your mind.
