What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state?

Westchester County, New York State

We recently had our Annual Co-op meeting of the election of officers.
There was never a mention about Multiplying the # shares by 5 (# of seat available) which is stated in our by-laws. If this was not done is it illegal?

Also our Co-op board does not seem to be responsive to the needs of the shareholders, can we form a shareholder's association? If so how do we go about It?

Thank you for responding, before I pursue this, if the results are the same is it still illegal that they did not follow proceedure according to the by-laws?
**A: possibly, but without reviewing the cooperative legal documentation, can't say for sure.

What legal documention is needed? Should I pursue this?

By the way this board has been in place for 8 years. The last 4 years the sponser out votes the shareholders in the past he reframed from voting. He still controls the board because our board members want to their postions.

Are they available in the Propietary Lease?

**A: what kind of Lease? Sounds more like something you slice and put whip cream on.

If not are these docs available to the shareholders?
**A: yes, they should be.
