New YorkWhat is the name of your state?

I was wondering if there was a fee to "non suspend" a license. I have to pay a speeding ticket, but cant afford it yet, so I was going to wait. I just cant really affor to pay more in the end. im NEVER speeding again!

My response:

If you're talking about a "separate fee" that is less than the "original fine" of the ticket itself, the answer is no. The "original fine" is the amount, plus late charges, to get your license "non suspended".

However once you pay the fine and court costs you have to visit the DMV and pay a fee to have your license reinstated. Be sure to take a release from the court clerk. While the court will forward the information to the DMV this does not automatically reinstate your license.
