What is the name of your state? Connecticut

I have a Connecticut license and was laser zapped in New York. However, the officer who zapped me was not the officer who pulled me over. The ticketing officer was probably about 150 yards away. I heard it was easier to fight the ticket by saying in court that the officer pulled over the wrong car. Is this true? Also, the officer never told me why he was pulling me over. I had to ask him. He told me for speeding, but i never admitted to it. (I mailed in for a deposition date. What should I do with that? Sorry, I'm not law savvy...)

Also, if I am found guilty, and pay the fine immediately, can my insurance company find out being that I am from out of state? Is there reciprocity between Connecticut and New York?

Thank You so much!!!!!!
