What is the name of your state? OH

I had my furniture shipped to expo in california. The items were damaged. One of th pallets was flipped over on the middle of the expo hall. The drayage company said it came like that when they received it from shipping company.

Who should I file the claim to? what is the law regarding damages during shipping? Is it possible that all damaged items reimbursed fully?

the contract provided by drayage company, they are not responsible for damages for uncrated or unskidded items, which our furniture is crated and skidded (palettized).

the shipping co. only pays 10 cents/lb for damages during shipping. but they aren't the one unloading from the truck
