I was fired when accused of not giving medication(was given and documented).Accused of not answering a call light. I said I was busy then answered thr call light. I was accused of telling the Director of Nursing at 4pm that facility was out of glucose testing strips, and I put patients at risk for harm. All the nurses and the supply person knew but DON said it was my fault. Used a glucose test strip from a private pay patient to ensure the well being of other diabetics and said we need to replace them to the patient.

Some punctuation would make your post more readable.

Who or what is "the Don"? Might you perhaps mean D.O.R.- the Director of Nursing?

I'll go out on a limb and guess "DON" = Director Of Nursing.

Either that, or else it means "Marlon Brando".

{edit: forgot to comment to the OP}

It's not illegal to fire you for doing your job.
