My question is if a alj gives a person a fully favorable decision and has medical evidence from the persons 2 psychologists and the psychitrist that ssa sent them to states that the person can handle their own benefits does the alj have the right to put in his order that he directs a representative payee? and can the claimant do anything about it? someone said that it was up to the local office is this true? What documentation should the claimant get and will it be a mess to straighten out they have not recieved any benefits yet thank you for any and all advice and information

It may all depend on the type of disability , history, cognitive levels,Etc. of the recipient.

There is always a reconsideration .

Just because you may be able to figure and budget your own finances, may not mean that you will.

It all depends on your case and history.
