I am a new contract QA auditor for small biotech companies. One of my first clients pleaded with me to do an audit immediately. I signed a confidentiality agreement and a one month contract. The copies were taken away for the CEO to sign. I performed the audit and now I am not being paid. I performed the audit in good faith, provided them with a very extensive document and gave a presentation with corrective action. What recourse do I have if they choose not to pay? Does the confidentiality agreement stand even if I never received a copy signed by the CEO?

Please advise.

Thank you!
