Lost Motorcycle in a Fire

My off road motorcycle was completely destroyed in a fire while I temporarily stored it at my son's home during a vacation visit. His homeowner's insurance company now says that they will not cover my motorcycle. Aren't they responsible for such a vehicle when it is owned by someone visiting the house?

Most homeowner's specifily exclude motorized vehicles no matter who owns them.
