Hi,

I was driving on a California State highway on a Saturday, 1am in the morning. My speedometer had stopped functioning, and my car was scheduled for repair at 8am the following Monday.

I was pulled over by an officer who claims I was going 85mph (I have no way to verify this). He issued a ticket for CVC 22349. (a)

I have a clean record, visibility was clear, traffic was very light, and I was not endangering any other drivers and there were no passangers in my car. The posted speedlimit was 65 mph.

Is there any way I can get out of this? I have the workorder for the repair of the speedometer.
