What is the name of your state? Louisiana

here is the basic of the story. We own a motel in louisiana (independent) about a year ago, a guy got robbed in our parking lot and claimed he was injured. called the police and all that. later on he sues us for inadequate security. our insurance at that time claims that our policy doesnt include personal injury, so we've had to hire our own lawyer. so far the case has cost us 13,000 in legal fees alone. do you guys think he has a real case here or is he just out to get money. so far, no mention of a settlement.

our case is that, there is no way we can prevent crime on the property. we havent had any crimes at all more than a year, but when someone wants to come and rob someone, how can we be there at the right time and moment. what do you guys think. thanks
