What is the name of your state?florida

my husband is the only living son of his father. because he is the last to carry on his fathers last name, i know that there is some type of act or clause that allows him to be released from a hazardous zone.any advice or leads will help. please help a mother of two, and a father who's heart is lost.

Only in the movies for his circumstance, unless.. There were other siblings who were alive prior to his enlisting into the military, then.. perhaps a Hardship Discharge... but even that isn't guaranteed. I'm also an only child, I deployed after 9/11... Now if there is a medical condition that has his father considered disabled, AND the ONLY surviving Kin, then he might be able to get a Humanitarian/Hardship exemption (I've done that as well)...

But carrying his fathers name isn't justification enough...
