F-1 Visa and Engagement to a US

What are the chances of INS revoking my student visa status once they discover I have met and intend to marry a US citizen?...Is it possible to change visa status while currently in the US on a student visa?..Will they claim I entered this country intending to stay thus denying the visa or visas based on charges of fraud?...I hope someone can help me out here..I haven't been able to find any info regarding this...

I believe that u can apply for the fiancee visa or just get married first and then do the greencard paperwork later.
