asylee

I am waiting for the green card as an asylee since 1997(initial application). I've heard that waiting line is about 3-4 years. Now I have to move to another city and what is going to happen to my green card waiting line? Will my application move to another city's INS at the end of the line? I had an interview in February 1999.

Thanks for every advice,
Tamilla

You must register that you will be mioving, with both your current immigration center and the one closest to the place you will be moving. You will have to wait for the case to transfer, but it will not send you back to the end of the line.
