I live in the UK, but am an American Citizen. I wish to work in th USA over the summer, but I don't have a social security number. How and where do I apply for one in the UK?

You could ask the American Embassy in London if they could help you. If not, when you arrive in the US you apply in person to the SS office with proof of you citizenship and you will be allocated one within two weeks
