I came to US on J1 and recently got change of status to H1. Now (on June 18) I have to go to France for several weeks (job reasons) and will need H1 stamped in my passport to return.
Will they give it to me in US consulate in France, or would they refuse and redirect me to my native country? I am russian by nationality.
What should I do to increase my chances to get visa in France? (what documents to present? I definitely do not have any "ties" to France) I heard INS can send notice to a consulate if one asks for it, but I do not know how to do it, and I'm afraid it's too late anyway..
