Hi:

I have an aunt who is here on a vistior's visa for the past 2 mos or so.She has purchased some stuff during her stay, and has been paying all the sales taxes. The question is, since she is not a resident/citizen of
the US, is she liable to claim back all the taxes she has paid during her stay? If so what's the procedure to claim it, and how long does it take to get reimbursed? Plz let me know.

Regards
Irfan Siddiqui

PS: The reason I'm asking is because I claimed all the sales tax while I was in Canada a few years back. I'm curious if the same law is applicable in the US.
