Quick Question:
A friend of mine was visiting from the UK for the last 2 1/2 months. He left before his required 3 months was up and then returned again after being back in the UK for 1 week. This time they stamped his entry card Parolled" and only gave him 30 days instead of the ususal 90 days. Does anyone know why this happened?? Also, If he leaves and then comes back again, will he have trouble. He has always left the US as required.. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Basically, they are noting that he returned so quickly and could have immigration intent. If he wanted to stay past 90 days he should have got a B1/B2 visa.

When he leave the US this time, if he returns quickly he *may* not be granted entry. It sometimes comes down to the INS officer on the day.

My advise would be to return to the UK and then apply for a B1/B2 multiple entry visa. He will need to show a crap load of proof that he intends to return to the UK though.
