What is the name of your state? Massachusetts

Situation: My husband is applying for social security disability in Massachusetts. I live in Florida with our 2 minor children- If he gets accepted, how will our separate living situation effect his benefits? Will our children be eligible for benefits under him, what about me? Can this situation cause him to be denied?

Thanks

If he is approved for SSDI ( qualifying disability from enough work history ) , your you will receive check(s) for your children . What ever amount SSA calculates.

If you know he has been approved , for SSDI , you should contact SSA office , to make sure your children are on record , and you are caregiver.
