What is the name of your state? CA
I had jury duty and could not find the parking lot designated for jury duty
attendees. I parked in a 2 hour parking area and when we were let out for
break I moved my car, but on the same street. I was within the time limit
but was told that there is 'no shuffling'. They don't state this on the parking
signs - can they do this?

So this 'no shuffling' law is burried in some DMV manual somewhere and
doesn't have to be posted on the sign huh?
That's a bummer.
Thanks for the info anyhow.

Next time you plan on doing this, take some rags and gunk remover so you can remove that little mark the meter maid puts on your tire.

If you want, tell the judge that you were on jury duty and show the docs to prove it.

I would've let you off...jury duty is a great excuse for almost anything (in my own never to be humble opinion).
