I would venture to say that less than 3% of the 180,000 federal inmates will be eligible for relief under this past week's holdings in U.S. v Booker and U.S. v Fanfan.
I would further guess that more than 50% will file some type of motion with the court system. Also, there will be many - many people representing themselves as paralegals to federal inmates in an effort to get those inmates to give money to "help" them to get relief. This will be a further travesty to the masses who are serving longer sentences then are constitutional in their respective cases.
