What is the name of your state?Massachusetts

I hired an attorney and signed a contract with him. My LTD case will go to trial in Mass. so he needs to get an attorney in Mass because he's in a different state. He wants me to sign a new fee agreement with the new attorney and him. It is on a contigent basis and asks for 1/3 of settlement/winnings plus attorney's fees if they cannot be gotten in the case. This is different from the original contract which was 30%.

Is this typical or fair? What choices do I have?
