Tranferring a land deed in NC

Is it possible for an individual to handle the transfer of a land deed in NC. If so, what is the procedure?

This answer absolutely depends on state law. Some states require an attorney to handle all real estate matters; some don't. I am not familiar with NC law and would suggest that you go to the local county assessor's office or wherever deeds are recorded and ask one of the clerk's there.
