we owned property in California that was foreclosed on. We now live in Florida. How long is the foreclosure a matter of record ?

I'm not sure how long it stays on your credit record but the best way to find out is to contact a credit bureau such as TRW and ask them or ask for a copy of your credit report. For some reason, I THINK it's seven years but I may be way off!
