Leaving roomate!

My roomate has currently lost her job and is planning to relocate out of state,leaving Florida for Tennessee)we are both equally responsible for ensuring the rent is fullfilled, however I've heard there are provisions if one roomate should relocate over 100 miles away. Is this true? Thank you!!

None that I know of; you are both liable for fulfilling the lease terms for the time you agreed to unless the landlord agrees to release you from your obligations. Read the sections on this website's home page dealing with landlord/tenant law under Real Estate.
