I just purchase an apartment building in December. A coin-op laundry company operates in my basement with a "lease" that expired in August. The lease says it automatically renewed for 10 years! I want to install my own machines, and do not want their services. They have all kinds of clauses in the lease that say I would have to pay thousands of dollars to get out of the lease. This does not seem legal or fair. Do I have any recourse?

You should have a lawyer review the entire lease and advise you of your options.
