What is the name of your state? MN

Hi Lana,

I am planning to change my visa status from H1B to L2. (my husband is on L1 Visa).

If I apply for change of status, can i still continue in my current job till I get L2 or I cannot work on H1 once i apply for L2 .(L2 approval takes 4-5 mths).

Your advice in this matter would be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Uma

YOu can continue to work in H-1B status until the L-2 is approved. Furthermore, since L-2 allows you to file for employment authorization document and work in that status, you should submit that application as well.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions or if I may be of further assistance to you in this matter.
