Hello,

I've been trying to do some research for my fiancee regarding dual citizenship. She's a Canadian citizen and will be coming to live with me in Staten Island. We do know that Canada allows dual citizenship, but we're not sure what happens when she applies to be a citizen in the US, if she will be required to give up her citizenship. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Charles

Since Canada allows for dual citizenship, then clearly nothing will happen when she will apply for US citizenship because dual citizenship IS allowed.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions or if I may be of further assistance to you in this matter.
