What is the name of your state?
NEw York

To Whom It May Concern,

I am currently receiving SSDI benefits and I have a general question. I have a Mental Disability due to BiPolar and I was wondering if I am allowed to help my wife with a Home Busniess that she has if I don't receive any income for it. Basically I would be helping her out of the goodness of her heart and would not get income. I asked my Claim Person for the Insurnace company that I also receive benfits for and she said that it is fine but I wondering if this is acceptable with Social Security Disability. To me the work that I would do for my wife is pretty minimal and really in no way represents the REAL world workforce. What are your thought?

No that should not effect your benefits at all .
You will not be getting paid .

On your periodic evaluations , on what you do day to day , you don't even have to state you help your wife out .

They aren't going to go door to door and police every disabled body .. :D
