What is the name of your state? GA

I was convicted back in 2001 for possesion with intent to distribute 90grams (700 pills) of MDMA. I was prosecuted in a federal court and recieved a rather lenient sentence because at that current time the laws against MDMA were not as strict as they are now. I have served 4 monthes in Federal Prison, 6 monthes house arrest, 10,000$ fine, 400 hours community service, and 5 years Federal probation. My probation ends in March and I was informed I would recieve several of my rights back such as right to vote and sit on a jury. However, I am curious as to how I can go about having my record exspunged and what is the best way to actually be successful. I understand that the chances of having your record exspunged are very slim but since my conviction I have held 1 steady job waiting tables and managed to graduate from a reputable University with an Bachelors in Psychology and I am currently enrolled in a Masters Program. I have not been in any trouble since my convictions and I did everything required under my sentence. I would like any advice available on successfully have my record exspunged and I was also curious about how to gain back your right to carry a firearm.

Expungement/pardon

Standard answer: Expungement is generally granted for illegal arrests or unlawful convictions. Generally, pardons mean you are forgiven for the crime but it remains on your record.

Check with the governor or attorney general of your state to see how you can go about either of these procedures. Check with the Attorney General or the President for federal expungement or pardon.

Ok then new question if I may please. The point of wanting my record cleared is because I am hoping to be a psychiatrist and not a psychologist. I would be required to write prescriptions for medications and I am understanding that a Felony Drug conviction would make me unable to obtain a license. So, how can I go about either obtaining a license or clearing my record. Also I was still curious if it is possible for a convicted felon to have their right to possess a firearm given back.
