I lost my eyesight in 1987 at age 26 and collected Social Security benefits until I completed vocational rehabilitation and got a new job. When my income increased beyond a certain monthly level, I was no longer eligable for benefits. Recently, someone told me that this income restriction may have been removed, and that I may be eligable to start receiving benefits again despite my current employment status and/or income level. Have there been changes to the law that would allow me to receive benefits again?
