What is the name of your state?CA

My boyfriend's ex-wife state she was disabled from July-Oct 2004 and again since Jan. 10th due to some surgery she had. We know she has received SDI, but wonder during these times if she was eligible to receive any other aid from the state. Can someone collect several different benefits at a time? Also, would she be able to collect anything from his working history-Social Security for instance? She is requesting they raise his child support, but is he responsible for her disability?

She couldn't have been eligible for SSI or SSDI from July - Oct 2004 as a recipient has to be disabled or expected to be disabled for 12 months or more .

If she receives SSI or SSDI since Jan. 10 , 2005 then she may qualify for other State / federal aid additionally .

That would NOT preclude her from filing for increased child support for the Children .

Weather she is granted an increase or not is up to the Court .
