Hi,
My original H1B was expiring on Jan 26th 2005 so my employer has filed for an extension. Now when i check the status online with the reciept number, it shows that my application was recieved on Jan 31st 2005. Does that mean i was out of status for those 4 days(Jan 27th to Jan 30th) or is there a grace period for filing extention once the Original H1 is expired and does it effect the green card process in any way? I have my EAD card.

Please let me know
Thank You
KC
