My husbands ex wife has been collecting disabulity on her own ss income. She was collecting before they were divorced. Can she try to collect survivors benifits on his SS or am I entitled as his current spouse to be the recipient of the survivors benifits?

Divorced spouse's benefits (life or death) are independent of anyone else collecting on the record involved. You can file for widow's benefits when you meet the eligibility requirements whether she files or not. Her entitlement will not affect yours.
