What is the name of your state? Virginia

Here's the scenario. In 1998 or so, a married officer was given a general discharge from the Navy, afer 11 years of service, he said for using Navy computers to meet women on line and enter into sexually & BDSM oriented on line relationships. He convinced one woman that he was going to move her to Norfolk to live with him. When she found out he was married and had no intention of doing this, she contacted the Navy and the result, according to him, was his general discharge.

He then enlisted in the National Guard and was on active duty at Fr. Lee, as a Sgt., until Oct. 2004. He said he was going to enlist in the active army to finish out his9 years, but, he claims, the army refused to take him.

Does this story sound feasible? If it does, can anyone explain to me what a general discharge is and what the man was actually discharged for?

My interest is personal due to being conned by this man too.

Thank you,

Enigma
