What is the name of your state? Calif

Is there a tax deduction if I have a child w/disability? (several diagnoses/documented)

We have turbo tax, and it does come up, and reading the description, it does fit.

Just wondering, because we have never heard of this deduction before? Is it valid?

Here is a link to a website that talks about it, but that is the only other info I found: http://www.schwablearning.org/articles.asp?r=969

Thanks in advance, Michelle

There is no special deduction for people who have a disabled child.

That site is merely pointing out things that the parents of a disabled child might miss, as far as medical deductions, daycare credit, or Earned Income Credit.

A competent tax professional is well aware of all of this, and will not miss it.
