California

When I filed my 2003 tax return, I forgot to add $3000 tuition deduction. Can I still get the tax return back?

Thanks,
Jim

Yes, you will need to amend the return by filing a 1040X, and including what you forgot to add the first time.

If you don't know how to do it, take a copy of the '03 return, and your info to a tax pro and pay them the $65 to do it for you.
