Which State to use for legal assistance?

What is the name of your state? FL

If I was divorced in Va. and now live in Fl., and would like to seek spousal support, do I have to go to court back in Virginia or can I do it here in Florida?
Any information regarding this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Are you saying that the divorce is final and spousal support was not court-ordered in the final divorce? And now you would like to seek support?

yes the divorce is final in Va. and I did not recieve any spousal support.

It seems like it MIGHT be possible to revisit your decree, though I always read that once the divorce was over, it's over. Did the judge/magistrate specifically "reserve" the issue of spousal support in your decree?

I'd try to find a local lawyer who specializes in family law and is licensed in both FL and VA and put the question to that attorney.
