What is the name of your state? CA Can you please clear up whether or not I can sue my HOA's insurance company for bad faith in failing to repair my condo for significant damage that was caused by their HOA Board's negligence in failing to maintain the common area drains which backed up during the recent rain storms, flooding the common areas, and then my condo. What is the maximum that I can sue for in small claims court in California? My case is worth more than a small claims case, but lawyer fees are going to cost me more than it'll take to pay a contractor myself to fix this so I can't keep fighting.
