What is the name of your state? California: If an individual only received unemployment benefits and disability benefits, can they still file a tax return to claim EIC Credit and child credit?

If you are single and received more than $7950 in unemployment, you are required to file, and may even have tax that will need to be offset by the child tax credit.

You are not eligible for EIC, because Earned Income Credit is exactly that, for those with Earned income, which unemployment is not.
