Maryland

My spouse and I lived in different states for the last 8 months of 2004. Can we still file our ferderal tax return as married filing jointly? And if so, what address should we use on our federal tax return? I live in MD and he lived in PA.

yes, you can still file a joint federal return if you both agree to do so. i'm assuming you were still married on 12/31/04 as well.

you can use either address on return, where ever you want to get the mail.
