how do I deal with a 1099 sent to me wrongfully by my husband who owns a company?

What is his obligation to prove to me, and/or what steps should I take to ensure I'm not taxed on income I did not earn?

proof, ask for copies of the cancelled checks.

if indeed it is not income to you & he refuses to correct the 1099, show the income & then show an identical deduction listed as "error in reporting, income not received" or something like that.
