i walked into a sporting store to buy bb's for a bb gun almost immediately after purchase cops walked in they searched me for the gun and found it. the gun was in pieces though. can they still charge me with posession of a firearm? also in court do they have the right to threaten me with more jail time if i want to take it to trial for firing a firarm and possesion of firearm with intent to use? i need help with this because they are saying probation if i just plead guilty or up to 3 years in jail if i go through trial?
