What is the name of your state? Florida. I am involved with a child support litigation. The ex-wife is trying to get something that is not hers. I had a court hearing and my lawyer says she did not receive notice and neither did i. It appears judgement has been pasted against me, without me ever having my day in court. What can i do? I have lost confidence in my lawyer. My lawyer has been one that nevers returns my calls or is never in the office. The lawyer claims to be doing things to my defense, but i have never seen anything. What can i do?

Then your Lawyer has to do her Lawyering to get the Award dismissed / reheard . If in fact the lawyer won't , consult with a different one and file a formal complaint with the one you had with the ethics committee for your State .

Tell your Lawyer do her stuff Like today to file to get that order reversed .

Quite honestly though unless the Judge is blind or lost his mind , he/she would check to see if the Parties were summonsed that day .
